Duties and Responsibilities
(i) Chairing meetings of the Board.
(ii) Facilitating the development of coherent integrated human resource plans.
(iii) Advising on human resource management and development.
(iv) Advising on implementation and monitoring of the national performance management sys-tem in the County.

Experience Requirements

Have knowledge and working experience of not less than ten (10) years.

Tenure for Appointment: Six (6) year non-renewable contract.

Job Responsibilities

Preparing regular reports on how the Board executes its functions and submit them to the County Assembly and the Governor.
Maintaining effective collaboration and partnerships with the relevant organs of the National and County Government.
Implementation and monitoring of the performance contracting and management system within the County.
Promote in the County Public Service principles referred to in articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya,2010

Education Requirements

Be a holder of a first degree from a University recognized in Kenya (A Master’s degree will be an added advantage)

Terms of Service: Full-time. Remuneration and benefits will be as set out by Salaries and
Remuneration Commission (SRC).


Professional competence and managerial capabilities;
Have clear understanding of national goals, values and principals of governance.
Meets the requirements of Leadership and Integrity in Chapter Six of the Constitution.
Should not be a State or Public Officer.
Should be a visionary and a strategic thinker.
Should have ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Should demonstrate a high degree of professional competence, communication skills,
fairness, good judgment and commitment to public service.
