Afya Ziwani is a USAID HIV/TB service delivery and prevention focused project funded by PEPFAR and implemented by a PATH led consortium of international and Kenyan NGOs. The purpose of this project is to provide key clinical support to the Government of Kenya national HIV response with the overall goal of increasing access and coverage for HIV prevention, care and treatment services towards achieving the “90-90-90” goals The project currently supports five (5) counties in Western Kenya i.e. Homa Bay, Kisumu, Migori, Kisii and Nyamira.
PATH is seeking to recruit two (2) Drivers for Afya Ziwani project for a period of 12 months. The Drivers will drive project staff, consultants and visitors as needed, run office errands, collect mail and deliver packages/mails, maintain office vehicle in clean and serviceable condition, follow up with vehicle maintenance regulations and licenses and make recommendations to the Administrative Officer for necessary actions. This position is based in Nyamira.
Prepare and submit to the admin officer on a monthly basis a vehicle running and maintenance report.
Assist in project workshops/training/meetings materials preparations and deliveries.
Drive project staff, consultants and visitors as needed.
Maintain office vehicle in clean and serviceable condition.
Support distribution of project supplies/commodities to designated facilities.
Run office errands, collect mail and deliver packages/mails as may be directed from time to time by the administration officer or his/her delegate.
Vast Knowledge of Kenyan roads and terrain, specifically in Western Kenya.
Proper understanding of Kenyan highway code/traffic rules and regulations.
Fluency in spoken and written English.
Ability and willingness to work extra hours when required.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a pleasant and accommodating approach
