The United Nations World Food Programme is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. The mission of WFP is to help the world achieve Zero Hunger in our lifetimes. Meet official personnel and visitors at the airport or other entry points and provide basic assistance with visa and customs formalities to facilitate smooth and safe entry and arrival to the authorised destinations.
Qualification/University Degree in Agriculture, Community Development, Public Health, Monitoring and Evaluation, Nutrition and related fields will be an added advantage.
Working knowledge of English and Kiswahili.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel).
Resourcefulness and ability to use own initiative, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with people of different cultural and national backgrounds
Ability to work in a team-based, achievement oriented work environment, and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Job holders are expected to demonstrate responsibility and initiative to respond independently to various queries with only general guidance. There is a requirement to use judgment in dealing with unforeseen operational problems on a daily basis.
