Project Overview and Role

Background

The Investment Mobilisation for Prosperity and Catalytic Transformation (IMPACT) Programme is a 4-year DFID funded programme aiming to support and enhance the impact investing ecosystem.

The IMPACT programme will provide technical assistance and grant funding to organisations aiming to unblock the constraints preventing impact investing from scaling in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. From 2019-2023, DFID expects to spend up to £24.1 million on grants and technical assistance to accelerate the market for Impact Investing.

Experience Requirements

Experience developing and conducting sexual harassment training sessions in sub-Saharan Africa and MGIC countries – 35%
Quality of draft sexual harassment training plan and proposal – 35%

Job Responsibilities

Guides and facilitates fund applicants in the development and preparation of concept notes and proposals, to include budgets, documentation, and interpretation of funding requirements;
Analyzes and evaluates contract and project budgets for correct calculation of expenditure categories such as salaries, percent of effort, salary adjustment increases, fringe benefits, indirect costs, taxes, materials and activities, in line with DFID Value for Money requirements;
Serves as a central negotiator and liaison between the IMPACT programme and applicants; researches, drafts, and approves formal responses to requests for proposals, quotation, contracts, and agreements; and
Analyzes and evaluates awarded proposals, contracts, and subcontracts for compliance with DFID requirements.
Reporting

Guides and facilitates partners in the development and preparation of quarterly technical and financial reports in compliance with DFID reporting requirements;
Supports partners to monitor and evaluate the impact of their projects in accordance with the MREL system of the Programme;
Liaises with the IMPACT programme team regarding progress of their projects, in particular with milestone delivery; and
Supports partners to prepare knowledge and communications materials and present learnings in annual learning events, where relevant
